History
FIELDS Turfgrass Management launched in 2021. Our goal was to create a space in the sports turf industry specifically for K-12+ fields. We believe that student athletes should have the opportunity to advance and display their skills by playing on high-quality fields.
While the world may be looking toward artificial turf, a natural turf grass field has proven not only to be a more beautiful, environmentally friendly, and cooler playing surface—but safer with fewer playing injuries. We hope that by demonstrating how manageable it is to have natural playing fields that we will be able to maintain the long-stead traditions of the game.
Our expertise may be growing, mowing, and painting but our mission is to impact the community around us.

Matt Dudley
Being a former baseball player himself, Matt understands the important relationship that athletes have with the fields they play on. There is a specific sense of pride experienced when you walk out under the lights, especially when that field is your own.
From working at the Indianapolis Indians to the prestigious Chevy Chase Golf Club, Matt has a well-rounded perspective of turf management. He received accolades in 2018 when he secured Sports Field Manager Association’s Soccer Field of the Year and again in 2024 by winning the Cross Country Course Field of the Year.
In 2024, Matt also became one of only two Certified Sports Field Managers in the state of Indiana.
Matt’s hands-on, customized approach has proven effective in creating beautiful, safe, and playable athletic fields.
